CELEBRATING PAMELA SEGGER
Executive & Artistic Director
Pamela was a founder of the festival and the driving force for our first 10 years. She brought the world to Lunenburg and put the Lunenburg Doc Fest on the global film stage.
She encouraged and facilitated many Atlantic Canadian film makers and the festival continues to feature them. She played an important role in establishing the “Breakthrough Program” under the Documentary Organization of Canada providing a launch pad for underrepresented filmmakers to “kick start” their careers.
While battling a devastating illness, she remained optimistic, focused and in control. She was a model of grace and dignity in the face of adversity.
Our team has been diminished but remains resolved to continue to build on the strong foundations Pamela established. The festival is one of her legacies, and we will continue to be inspired by her memory.
To recognize Pamela this year we will award the Pamela Segger Award for Best Canadian Feature Documentary.
Let’s remember and celebrate Pamela.

Hailing from Hong Kong, Audrey comes armed with a background in film and philosophy and holds a second degree in Journalism. They now work as a freelance journalist and documentarian. Audrey’s cross-disciplinary and multimedia projects are fundamentally inspired by deep ecology, disrupting the culture industry, and our urgent need for collective liberation.
