Each year, the enthusiasm, commitment and hard work of our dedicated volunteers enables Lunenburg Doc Fest (LDF) to pursue its mission of celebrating the art of documentary filmmaking, creating an enriching cultural experience and place of connection between filmmakers and film enthusiasts in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

LDF relies on the generosity and dedication of volunteers year-round — volunteers are vital to the success of LDF events including the free Youth Workshop, off-season screenings, Box Office, Lunenburg Doc Fest weekend, and other special initiatives. During the 11th annual festival weekend, Sept 18–22, 2024, volunteers are needed to assist in all areas — ticketing, hospitality, concession, marketing, transportation, set up assistants, and more.

We are seeking adult volunteers who share a passion for film, engaging community and supporting a great and growing non-profit organization. Be a part of the team and also have the chance to see exciting local and international films while supporting a local not-for-profit organization.
