The Town of Lunenburg won the Communities Arts and Culture Recognition Award at this year’s Creative Nova Scotia awards.

Arts Nova Scotia Director Chris Shore says the money has a purpose, “To continue the integration of arts and culture in the community.”

Mayor Rachel Bailey accepted the award with honour and stated the following about arts and culture in Lunenburg: “They also generate a quality of life that is extremely important to the future growth and sustainability of the community.”

Lunenburg Doc Fest agrees and is proud to be just one of the many arts and culture organizations contributing the vibrant community and economy in Lunenburg.
