Pamela Segger

Executive Director

Pamela Segger is executive director and lead programmer of Lunenburg Doc Fest. Pamela also serves as lead consultant of the LDF Atlantic Canada Delegation, a year-round initiative that promotes and creates national and international professional development opportunities for Atlantic Canadian film producers and directors. then studied feature film at UCLA. She is a member of Screen Nova Scotia and DOC Atlantic and was a board member and co-programmer of Women in Film and Television Atlantic and the organization’s flagship annual conference (2015-2019). Pamela frequently participates as a panelist, host, presenter, juror and programmer for a variety of screen-based organizations and festivals. In her spare time Pamela is learning Irish Dance and how to sail her 1939 wood sloop sailboat.

Lauren Unsworth

Lauren studied Anthropology at Concordia University in Montreal, which inspired an itch to travel—leading Lauren to work on tall ships around the world as a deckhand for several years. 2016. She obtained a Criminology diploma from Eastern College, which led to enjoyable opportunities to work within the Halifax/ Dartmouth community. Lauren moved to Lunenburg in April 2020. She has family ties here and spent summers in Lunenburg. She is very excited to be a part of the Lunenburg Doc Fest team, learn new skills, and gain work experience.

Walter Forsyth

Development Coordinator and Programmer

Walter Forsyth is a filmmaker and film and festival producer. He is the Development Coordinator and a programmer at Lunenburg Doc Fest, helps run Hellifax Horror Fest, began the Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival, worked as a programmer for the Atlantic Film Festival and sat on the board of directors at the Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival for six years. ... Walter has four Canadian Screen Award nominations and is president of the boutique media company, Gorgeous Mistake Productions. Recent documentaries include ‘Elizabeth Bishop and the Art of Losing’ (2021), ‘Bread in the Bones’ (2020) and the docu-series ‘Living in Flow’ (2021). He produced the short films ‘Boyclops’ (TIFF 04), ‘There’s a Flower in My Pedal’ (TIFF Honourable Mention 05) and ‘How to Be Alone’ (10 million views on YouTube). He won TIFF’s Pitch This!, received a Sundance Doc Fund and is an alumni of the TIFF Talent Lab, the CTV Banff Fellowship and the Trans Atlantic Partners program. He surfs when and where he can.

worked in PA sales and rentals at the local music shop, done sound for the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society since early 2000, and has been mixing for Lunenburg Doc Fest since its inception. Other work has taken him from CBC, Much Music, outdoor festivals, digital recording projects and a host of multiple local venues. Art’s many years as a musician and technical engineer have brought him many lasting relationships, and he looks forward to many more years of service.
