Lunenburg Doc Fest has received over 350 documentary submissions from 57 countries, surpassing all expectations for our first ever Call For Submissions!

The films come from first-time filmmakers, professional filmmakers, and even award-winning filmmakers. They cross a diverse range of style, subject matter and genre. We are excited to screen the successful documentaries and showcase filmmakers and their stories to film fans in beautiful Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

With the Call For Submissions officially closed June 1st, the curating process takes over. Our curating committee will soon select the films to be screened in the following categories: Atlantic, International, Environmental, Political, Art and Youth. The program will include six feature-length screenings, several short screenings, and a Youth Program. Winning filmmakers are invited to introduce their film and take part in post-screening Q&A sessions with audiences.

Lunenburg Doc Fest seeks a diverse selection of documentaries with strong storytelling and thought-provoking subject matter. We endeavour to present a compelling lineup for your viewing pleasure — documentaries that will entertain, inspire and incite conversation.

Join us September 19-21, 2014 for a three days of intriguing documentaries. In the meantime, watch www.LunenburgDocFest.com for updates regarding our inaugural documentary festival program.
