Lunenburg Doc Fest extends a special thank you to New Voice Language Academy, a valued Festival Partner and host of The Festival’s free Youth Documentary Workshop.

Owned and operated by Nicola Sattler ad Alden Darville, New Voice Language Academy is located in downtown Lunenburg and offers tutoring in many subjects, including but not limited to all elementary school subjects, mathematics, chemistry, physics, Spanish, French, German, and Chinese. Most notably though, NVLA offers extensive programs in English as a Second Language for students and adults wishing to improve their English level. Many of New Voice’s students have been or are entering into the Nova Scotia public school system, or are using our University Pathway Program to prepare themselves for their university careers. NVLA has built a reputation on quality service and concrete results, and its team of qualified teachers are knowledgeable in their subject areas and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge.

New Voice Language Academy is donating a generous space to the youth ages 13-18 participating in the Documentary Workshop.

Participants will work together to film and edit their documentary over two weekends. The final films will premiere at 1:00pm, The Pearl Theatre on September 27th!
