2019 Seniors Workshop

IT’S ALL ABOUT LYME

Call for ‘Seniors Doc Workshop’ participants

Lunenburg Doc Fest is seeking participants for a FREE Seniors Documentary Workshop to help create a new film — “IT’S ALL ABOUT LYME: THE STORY, THE EXPERIENCE” — set to premiere at the 6th annual Doc Fest this September. The workshop is open to Seniors ages 55 plus.

Learn filmmaking techniques from professional mentors through discussions, research, and classroom work. Work with a team of your peers to explore the impact of Lyme disease on Lunenburg County.

Session 1 will include six meetings (10 a.m.–1 p.m.) between May 23–June 12 covering subjects from framing, interviews, and capturing quality audio on the fly.

Session 2 will deal with long-form documentary segments, lighting, and camera composition, with seven meetings (10 a.m.–1 p.m.) between June 13–July 25.

Participants are welcome to take part in just one session or both.

The application deadline is May 13.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to get comfortable behind the camera and shine a light on an important issue affecting your community!
